MI-Child Insurance
MIChild is a health insurance program. It is for uninsured children of Michigan’s working families. MIChild services are provided by many HMOs and other health care plans throughout Michigan. Call 1-888-988-6300 for more information.

To qualify, children must:

• Be citizens of the U.S. (some legal immigrants qualify)
• Live in Michigan, even for a short time
• Be under 19 years old
• Have no health insurance
• Live in a family with monthly income of about
         $1,800 for a family of two
         $2,300 for a family of three
         $2,800 for a family of four
         $3,200 for a family of five

Children and pregnant women may qualify for Healthy Kids if some of the MIChild requirements are not met.
